Linking Up welcomed as new member of Sadeh Lok Group.

It has been announced today that the leading Social Enterprise Linking Up Ltd has been welcomed into the market leading B&ME Sadeh Lok Housing Group as part of the group’s commitment to deliver innovative and cohesive community and housing solutions. The newly merged Group plans to deliver an integrated service to more communities across England

Linking Up Ltd is an enterprising project from Children's Links, which is a registered charity working to improve children’s life experiences. Linking Up is the only national third sector childcare voucher provider. Whilst specialising in supplying services to the third sector Linking Up’s client’s range is a cross section of private and public organisations, customers include London Royal Ballet school, Café Direct, Mission Fish, UK Archdiocese regional offices, any Clariant UK, Crystal Martin International, Home Start UK, various Local authorities and housing associations
As a progressive and innovative Social Enterprise, Linking Up has set up an easy and simple voucher scheme to support its beneficiaries. All the trading surpluses from the scheme are reinvested in the charity, so by joining the Linking Up voucher scheme, customers will be helping Children's Links deliver more services to more children. The company has also recently agreed a childcare voucher scheme for all members of the National Housing Federation.

Commenting on the merger, Pat Tarttelin, the newly appointed Managing Director of Children’s Links and Linking Up said, "We are delighted to be joining a group with tremendous experience in housing services and the support of people in disadvantaged communities. Sadeh Lok is supporting Linking Up Ltd in developing its business further and allowing it to realise profits more quickly for the use of the charities within the group.”

Balbir Singh Uppal, Sadeh Lok Group Chairman added, “The advent of Children’s Links and Linking Up Ltd joining the award winning Sadeh Lok Housing Group will allow us to harmonise the expertise within the two groups.  It is our intention that the enlarged group will not only operate effectively and efficiently on a national basis but at the same time will retain its focus on its regional tenants and customers to ensure they also enjoy the benefits of its enhanced service delivery.”

National Housing Federation Chief Executive David Orr was also delighted with the news, commenting; “Sadeh Lok's expansion of neighbourhood services to include children's services is yet another good example of how the best housing associations can work towards creating better places where people can flourish.”
